Do you listen to music when you cook dinner? For me, it has been something I have done since I got my first apartmemt. I mean, how can go wrong with guys like Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr, and this guy right here, the Chairman of the Board.
As a kid I was surrounded by two things; good homecooked meals and music. The two just went hand in hand and both were courtesy of my mom. Don't get me wrong, my dad had ok taste in music and his palate left a lot to be desired, but it was my mom who gave me my eclectic tastes in food and music.
Back to the subject of dinner music, there has to be specific meals that pair with music, right? Like red wine and pasta, the old crooners of the 40s and 50s go perfectly with any dinner being cooked.
Do you listen to music as you cook? If so, who are you listening to?

We listen to music a lot while cooking. It just depends on what me and the kids are hooked on in the moment.
Not sure if you’ve seen this newsletter. It’s a weekly list of dinner music: https://open.substack.com/pub/dinnermusic?r=1iil3&utm_medium=ios
This is so cool. I don’t listen to music while cooking as my husband does most of the cooking. I think he does occasionally stream something while he cooks. If I did the cooking, I’m pretty sure I would spin my records but my turntable is in another room upstairs so logistics might not help much in that regard.
