Today's spin is the incredible, Closer, by Joy Divison. This album is solid top to bottom and as a repress it sounds fantastic.
A lot of albums tug at my musical core but this one is much different. Ian Curtis' haunting vocals are ever present but in my mind a little more polished than his work on, Unknown Pleasures. He knocks it out of the park on, Isolation, which to me is the epitome of this great group that defined a whole new generation of music.
What might have been if Ian got the treatment that is available today. Who knows? But he did leave his mark forever in his short time here.
