We are well past 'stick season' in New England and have shifted to winter. That doesn't mean I yearn for the changing of the colors on the leaves.
As I work from home, I am lucky enough to be able to spin some of the albums in my collection on a regular basis. This gives me a wonderful chance to dive into the obscure album to the mainstream artist.
I can't recall exactly but I could have sworn I heard Noah perform up in Stowe, VT, one afternoon as I sipped on some Stowe Cider but I could be mistaken. Either way, Noah's music is simply incredible!
He was actually one of the first artists that got me hooked on the, Americana and folk sound. Between him, The Lumineers and Caamp, it made for a wonderful rabbit hole to go down to explore more.
This album came about during the 2020 Covid restrictions as Noah faced loneliness, boredom and burnout. He decided to remove himself from the indie pop sound and go more folk in this album. He even said in an interview this was his 'love letter to New England'.
This album is an amazing song after amazing song. Definitely one of those albums with no skips. Be sure to check it out.
