I decided to spin quite possibly the greatest compilation soundtrack box set that has ever been created.
After watching the Hulu documentary called, Brats, earlier in the week, I decided to dust off this masterpiece.
I present to you, The John Hughes Mix Tape. This box set contains music from his movies in the 80s. The album, like Hughes, perfectly curated this out of this world compilation.
What we do know, Hughes, only wanted the most hip music that all the teenagers were listening to at the time. He thought the soundtrack was as important as the movie itself. He was 100% right in this assumption.
Don't You Forget About Me is synonymous with, The Breakfast Club. Oh Yeah goes with Ferris Buellers Day Off, and that's just the tip of the iceberg.
Every time I hear these songs, it sends me back to the 80s. A simpler time, a time for wonderful music, and some of the best movies.
If you haven't watched, Brats, or listened to this box set, well get on it!!
