Friday's psychedelic dose!
The Bosstown Sound hits the mark.
First off; a big welcome to all my new subscribers. I'm very glad you're here to share in the love of all things music.
Now to the fun part! Everyone knows I love the Psychedelic rock genre and can really go off on tangents when it comes to the genre. I will do my best to stay on course for this post, I can't make any promises though.
Ultimate Spinach, in the grand scheme of things is definitely in my top 5 in terms of bands and artists. They are absolutely a mind melting experience that needs to be heard in order to be believed. Trust me, listen to, The Ballad of the Hip Death Goddess, and you might have the same thoughts.
These guys are otherworldly and I mean this. Dark Star is the height of the Grateful Dead's psychedelic journey and that's very far out. They blow way past that and take you into another dimension.
This band is part of the Bosstown Sound which is known to be east coast psychedelic rock and is also the lesser known version. This makes finding albums of this type extremely hard to find. I was extremely lucky to find this and their second album, Behold and See, within a week of each other.
That all being said, give this group an honest listen and you will not view music the same way ever again. I consider it a must for any serious music fan.
